Why Your Wedding Film Will Feel Short & Why That’s a Good Thing

One of the things couples tell me all the time is, “I can’t believe the video is only a few minutes long.” And honestly, I get it. Your wedding day is ten hours of nonstop emotion, people you love, little moments you didn’t even realize were happening and it flies by faster than you expect.

The reason your film feels short is because it’s not meant to replay the entire day. It’s meant to bring you back to how it felt. When I’m editing, I’m constantly asking myself one question: does this moment make me feel something? If it does, it belongs in your film. Every clip is chosen with intention, because the goal isn’t to document everything - it’s to tell your story in a way that feels honest, emotional, and timeless.

Years from now, I don’t want you to remember what time dinner was served or who gave which speech first. I want you to feel the nerves, the excitement, the love, and the joy all over again. That’s why your wedding film may feel short…and why it becomes something you’ll never stop rewatching.
